YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

This policy explains how Strasc handles information in its iPhone app and this website. Strasc tracks the time since you start a streak or asceticism. It does not monitor or verify your actual behaviour.

Information you provide

Journeys can include a name, personal reason, emoji, colour, target duration, start date, selected weekdays, and optional usual spending in USD. The app also keeps progress settings and completed intervals. Avoid entering sensitive information you do not want stored.

Local storage and accounts

The current TestFlight demo keeps active journeys in memory. Completed intervals and the Premium setting are stored on the device. Demo journeys may reset after relaunch. When connected account services are enabled, sign-in can process your email address, provider identifier and authentication tokens through Apple, Google or email verification. Connected journey data is sent to the app service for storage and synchronisation; a copy may be cached on the device. Demo mode does not require account sign-in.

How information is used

Information is used to run timers, display calendars, estimate savings, save and synchronise supported progress, authenticate accounts, and respond to support requests. Savings are estimates based on amounts you enter. Strasc does not access bank accounts or payment-card details.

Sharing you choose

Sharing an achievement creates an image and text containing your journey name and duration. Nothing is sent until you select a destination and confirm in the system share menu. The selected service handles the shared information under its own policy. If community publishing is enabled and you choose to share a template, its content is intended to appear without your account name; avoid personal details in the template itself.

Service providers and technical information

Apple distributes the app and operates TestFlight. Apple may process diagnostics and beta feedback under your settings and its policies. Google and Apple process authentication when their sign-in services are used. Website hosting providers may process IP addresses, browser information and request logs to deliver and secure this site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the network request. This site does not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts or marketing cookies.

Retention and deletion

Device records remain until removed through available app controls or device storage management. Connected records are retained to provide the service until deletion is requested or they are no longer required, subject to security and legal obligations. Deleting a journey and deleting a Completed entry are separate actions. Signing out is not the same as deleting stored information.

Your choices

You can choose what you enter, whether to share an achievement, and which sign-in provider to use when account services are available. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of information, and to complain to your local data protection authority. For the current beta, send a privacy request through TestFlight → Strasc → Send Beta Feedback.

Security and international processing

Authentication credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain where applicable. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Apple, authentication providers and hosting services may process information outside your country under their applicable terms and safeguards.

Changes and support

This page will be updated when the app’s information handling changes. Check the date above for the latest revision. Visit Support for help and the current beta contact method.
